About Tour

Your trip to Gobi will start from the second day according to your itinerary. The scenery is spectacular surrounded by 360° steppe views. Your trip highlights are following;
Gazing at stars, staying in the nomadic dwelling ger, hiking through, and taking pictures of Tsagaan Suvarga colorful mud cliffs Eagle Valley of Gobi Gurban Saikhan Mountain National Park along a freshwater creek and climb the Khongor sand dune.

Day 1Your driver and guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the city center.
It is a relaxing day after your trip to Mongolia and discover the city with your guide. We will not use a car or driver as it is a very crowded and busy traffic city. (2 hours max to the city center). You will go to National Museum.

Day 2You will meet your guide and driver at 9:00AM and our destination to Tsagaan Suvarga, cliffs in the Gobi Desert starts. The area is one of the most famous attractions in the Gobi Desert and a great place for photographing the colorful natural formation. Hiking down and up along the trails of the stupa-shaped colorful cliffs takes 1 to 1.5 hours. (4 hours)Ger Camp

Day 3Gobi Gurban Saikhan Mountain National Park and hiking in Eagle Valley
The Gobi Gurban Saikhan means “Three beautiful mountains in the Gobi.” The Gobi Gurban Saikhan Mountain is a beautiful national park, rich in wildlife and scenic places. Among them, Yoliin Am/Bearded Eagle Valley is one of the attractive valleys and you wonder the beauty of area. It is accessible for the drivers to drop us off in the parking area, we will walk through the valley into the depths of a sheer rock canyon, which accepts no sunlight. It has ice until end of June and hiking continues for 2.5 to 3 hours for travel into the valley and back to the vehicle. (4 hours max)

Day 4 And Day 5Khongor Sand Dunes, camel riding
We start our journey to Khongor els, Gobi Gurban Saikhan National Park. After our arrival the sand dunes, you will hike along the green stream shore, climb sand dunes and ride two-humped camels for an hour. The sunset/sunrise and the views are fantastic from the top of the sand dunes. (4 hours)

Day 6Khavtsgait Rock Drawings and the Flaming Cliffs
Next destination goes to the northern side of the West Saikhan Mountain to explore the Khavtsgait Rock drawings, which date back to the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age. You will reach Khavtsgait rock drawing after 2 km of soft trekking in return ways. Then, to the Flaming Cliffs, where American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews found the remains of dinosaurs, including the first dinosaur eggs ever discovered on earth. The cliffs are picturesque and photogenic at sunset. (2 hours)

Day 7Bayanzag Saxual tree grove and driving to Ongi Monastery on the open steppes
Gobi Desert tree grove is located 7km north of Flaming Cliffs where it is vast land which endemic tree grows only in the Central Asian desert. Then, we will head to Ongi Monastery through the slate mountains around 80kms. The Monastery itself is one of the seven monasteries in Mongolia.
There were two separate monasteries, consisted of more than 30 temples on the north and south shores of the Ongi River, surrounded by the Gobi Desert mountains; socialists destroyed the monastery in the 1930s. Now the ruins of the monasteries cover a large area. Visit a new active temple and a ger museum, explore the monastery ruins and climb a nearby mountain to see the panoramic views of the surrounding areas. (4 hours max)

Day 8Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall and the Orkhon Valley National Park
Our destination to the mountain steppes heading to Ulaantsutgalan waterfall start from the zone of Gobi Desert. Ulaantsutgalan is the central Mongolian largest waterfall, which falls from 24 high lava cliffs. Arrive at the Orkhon River late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day seeing Ulaantsutgalan waterfall and hiking along the Orkhon River canyons. (2.30 half hours)

Day 9 And Day 10Hiking to Tovhon Monastery and Tsenkher Hot Spa
Our day will be exploring the Orkhon River valley and hicking to Monastery.
This small monastery was built on 2312 m rocky top of Shiveet Ulaan Mountain. Reaching the monastery will require 3 hours of soft hiking up and down the mountain, but not steep. The vista is incredible from the mountaintop. The journey continues along forested mountain tracks and arrives at Tsenkher valley in the evening.

Day 11Arkhangai province, explore the nomadic life and try authentic Mongolian barbecue
We will do a short tour of town Tsetserleg, the center of Arkhangai province. Continue the journey to meet a yak-herding nomadic family and relish in an authentic Mongolian barbecue for lunch. It is a great opportunity to meet with local nomads and learn about their culture. Next, drive through the picturesque landscapes of Arkhangai with a stop at the Chuluut River canyon. We start to drive to terkhin Tsagaan National Park and on the way to NP, we will see the beautiful landscape and stop by the river canyon. We will arrive the NP late afternoon. (3 hours)

Day 12Explore Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan National Park
The Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan National Park was established to protect the spectacular mountain scenery and endangered species of its flora & fauna. We will spend the day and enjoy the days around. It is more relaxing day just right before going to the city. (5 hours)

Day 13Kharkhorin and Erdenezuu Monastery in the Orkhon Valley
Kharkhorin, formerly known as the Karakorum, was once the capital of Genghis Khaan’s Great Mongol Empire in the 13th century. After the move of the Mongolian capital to Beijing, and the fall of the Empire, Karakorum was abandoned and then destroyed in 1388. Today, in the vast valley of the Orkhon River, the awe-inspiring ancient monastery Erdenezuu with Kharkhorin town. (4 hours)

Day 14Drive to Terenlj National Park and overnight in Terelj National Park. (in a ger camp) This day could be a bit longer.Ger Camp

Day 15Drive to Chinghis Khan Statue and spend a day around statute and museum. Late afternoon we start to driving to UB city.
